How to choose the ideal toilet? How to prevent the toilet from splashing? Make it clear this time!

Post time: Feb-06-2023

It is not difficult to buy a toilet on the whole. There are quite a lot of big brands. The 1000 yuan price is already good. But that doesn’t mean you can also buy a good toilet!

Ordinary toilet, intelligent toilet, intelligent toilet cover

Toilet cover, water parts, wall row, domestic, imported

Flushing toilet, siphon toilet, jet toilet, super vortex toilet

Do you know how to choose so many keywords?

Today, let me tell you how to choose a convenient toilet

1. Buy conjoined or split (siphon or p trap)

Why these two can be put together is very simple, because conjoined body is also called siphon; The split type is also called p trap toilet. The front is distinguished by the connection structure, while the latter is named according to the flushing method.

As shown in the figure, the one-piece toilet connects the water tank and the toilet pan, while the split-body toilet separates the water tank and the base. During installation, the toilet pan and the water tank need to be connected with bolts.

Looking at the picture above, you can think of the toilet as a bucket with a big hole. One kind of hole is connected with a straight bend, and the water will be discharged directly. This kind of hole is called straight flush; If the connection is an S-trap, the water cannot be discharged directly. It needs to be turned out, which is called siphon.

Advantages of direct-flow type: short path, thick pipe diameter, short flushing process and good water-saving performance.

Disadvantages of direct-flow type: small water seal area, loud noise during flushing, easy scaling and poor odor prevention function.

Advantages of siphon type: low noise of flushing, easy to flush the dirt adhering to the surface of the toilet, good deodorization effect, due to a wide variety of styles to choose.

Disadvantages of siphon type: it does not save water. Because the pipe is narrow and has curved parts, it is easy to block.

2. How to judge the quality of water parts?

In addition to the ceramic part of the toilet, the most important thing is the quality of the water parts. What is the toilet used for? Of course, it is used to flush the stool, so the quality of water parts is particularly important. Let me tell you a test method: press the water piece to the bottom, and if the sound is crisp, it will prove to be a good water piece. At present, the toilets on the market use world-famous brands of water parts, and some use self-made water parts. For example, Switzerland’s Giberit, Rieter, Vidia and other well-known brands. Of course, we should pay attention to the problem of water consumption when purchasing. The current mainstream water-saving water consumption is 6L. A better brand can achieve 4.8L. If it exceeds 6L, or even reaches 9L, I suggest not to consider it. It is also important to save water.

3. Is it full pipe glazing?

Many old-fashioned closets are not fully glazed inside, and only the parts you can see with your naked eyes are glazed outside. So when purchasing closets, you should ask whether they are fully glazed, or your closets will be prone to yellowing and blocking if they are long. Some people will ask, the pipe of the toilet is inside, and we can’t see it. You can ask the merchant to show the cross-sectional area of the toilet, and you can clearly see whether the pipe is glazed.

4. Water cover

What is a water cover? In short, every time you flush the toilet and leave it at the bottom of the toilet, it is called the water cover. This water cover country has standards. According to the requirements of GB 6952-2005, the distance from the water cover to the seat ring shall not be less than 14cm, the height of the water seal shall not be less than 5cm, the width shall not be less than 8.5cm, and the length shall not be less than 10cm.

Whether the toilet splashes has a direct relationship with the water cover, but because the water cover plays a role in preventing odor and reducing dirt adhesion to the inner wall of the toilet, it can not be without it, is it very complicated?

Human wisdom is always more than methods. Here are some ways to prevent the toilet from splashing:

1) Raise the water seal height

This is from the designer’s point of view. In theory, by increasing the water sealing height, the reaction force when the stool falls into the water is reduced, so as to reduce the amount of water splashing. Or some designers add a step at the inlet of the sewage outlet to reduce the amount of water splashing when the stool falls into the water. However, this method can only reduce the probability and cannot be completely eliminated.

2) Lay a layer of paper in the toilet

This is from the user’s point of view, but I personally do not recommend this method. If your toilet is ordinary siphon type or the paper you lay is not of the material that is easy to dissolve, then your toilet is likely to be blocked. This method is more suitable for the old-fashioned direct-flush toilet, which has been discussed above. Because of the high impact, there is no curve, so it is not easy to block. In addition, if you pull out the stool after the paper has melted, the effect is not good. Do you have to calculate when you pull out the stool, so it is not recommended.

3) Self-solution

In fact, it is the simplest, cheapest and most direct way to prevent water splashing to adjust your sitting posture when you pull the stool so that the stool can fall vertically and slowly into the water when it touches the toilet.

4) Foam covering method

It is to install a set of equipment in the toilet, press the switch before use, and a layer of foam will appear on the water cover in the toilet, which can not only prevent odor, but also prevent splashes from objects falling from a height of 100cm. Of course, not all toilets can be equipped with this foam device.

How can we solve the problem of toilet splashing? From my personal experience, I think it would be much better to choose siphon! Don’t ask me what my personal experience is… look at the key, siphon!!

Siphon type, there will be a gentle slope in the place where the stool falls directly, and the water volume will be relatively small, so it is not easy to generate splash!
